VideoGuestbook ("we", "our", or "the app") is a video guestbook application for events. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

2.1 Video Recordings

The app records video messages from event guests. These recordings are stored locally on the device and, if configured by the event organizer, synced to a cloud storage service.

2.2 Guest Names (Optional)

Guests may optionally provide their name when recording a message. This is stored alongside the video recording.

2.3 Device Permissions

The app requires access to:

• Camera — to record video messages
• Microphone — to record audio with video
• Network — to sync recordings to cloud storage (if configured)
• Notifications — to inform about sync progress

3. How Data Is Stored

All recordings are stored locally on the device in the app's private storage. If the event organizer configures cloud sync, recordings may be uploaded to:

• Google Drive (via the organizer's Google account)
• OwnCloud/WebDAV server (provided by the organizer)

The app does not transmit data to any third-party servers beyond the cloud storage configured by the event organizer.

4. Data Retention

Recordings remain on the device until manually deleted by the event organizer through the admin settings. Cloud copies are managed by the organizer's cloud storage account.

5. Third-Party Services

If configured by the organizer, the app integrates with:

• Google Drive — subject to Google's Privacy Policy
• OwnCloud/WebDAV — subject to the organizer's server privacy practices

6. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. Event organizers are responsible for ensuring appropriate consent for any minors using the guestbook.

7. Your Rights

As a guest, you may ask the event organizer to delete your recording. As an event organizer, you have full control over all recordings through the admin panel.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
